Standing Up for Homeownership

Thank you, Representative Young Kim, for leading the charge in Washington to raise the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction cap. Raising the cap will improve Californians' ability to afford a home.

As Co-Chair of the SALT Caucus, she is standing up for tax fairness to make homeownership possible again.

Why This Matters

Right now, homeowners can only deduct $10,000 of the state and local taxes (SALT) that they already pay. This includes their property taxes. By retaining that $10,000 limit, homeownership will remain out of reach for a growing number of California families.
